The Webboard Project

Web Board is the open license web project to jumpstart on-line learning services in any school.

The aim is to use the Internet to support instruction and learning.

The goal is to build on-line identity for all teachers, and for them to become self-directed learners and quality providers of instructional content and activities inside the Internet. The shared content shall be licensed through the use of creative commons license framework

The project is the empowerment of teachers to create and manage web learning spaces.

The project allows the teachers to sustain the mentoring and learning engagement with the students through the use of free and open source licensed software; and Internet services that provide web hosting, on-line content, interaction, collaboration and assessment.

It makes the teachers transform the web as the virtual location of learning references, the medium to publish instructional guidance for learning, and the place to initiate activities for the students to search for knowledge and continous learning outside the physical classroom.
They are all to support the next goal, that is to give the student the motivation to access the web for class preparation, and continue the learning process after the face to face encounter with the teacher.

The webboard serves as another place for the students to hang around for knowledge search and learning collaboration. Aside from Internet "Gaming", students have another net space called Internet "Learning."
